We've been helping businesses navigate the messy world of corporate law and international trade for years - and honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way.
Look, building a law firm wasn't some grand master plan. It started with a few lawyers who were tired of seeing businesses get lost in cross-border regulations and corporate red tape. We figured there had to be a better way to do this - one that actually made sense to our clients.
The milestones that shaped who we are today
Started with three partners and a shared frustration about how complicated international trade law had become. We set up shop in Montreal with one goal: make this stuff understandable for businesses trying to grow across borders.
Word got around, and suddenly we're handling M&A deals we never imagined. Brought on specialists in customs law and IP protection because our clients needed that expertise. The team grew to 15 lawyers who actually enjoyed working together.
Got recognized by some international trade organizations - which was cool, sure - but more importantly, we started working on cross-border deals that actually made a difference for Canadian businesses competing globally.
The pandemic taught us we needed better tech infrastructure. Invested heavily in secure client portals and digital document management. Turns out, clients really appreciate being able to check on their case at 11pm in their pajamas.
We're now a team of 30+ legal professionals working with businesses across North America and beyond. Still based in Montreal, still focused on making corporate law and international trade less intimidating. That part hasn't changed.
